In January, I travelled out with the Ocean Generation team to Antigua & Barbuda in the Caribbean to film a Hackathon organised by the charity on the island. The event, held in partnership with United Nations Office for Projects and Services (UNOPS), was intended to help those who are most likely to be caught up in hurricanes and natural disasters - weather patterns that are becoming more frequent and deadly as a result of climate change. The hackathon saw 20 teams competing to create an app that would help prepare, recover and repair small islands. This is what I captured over the course of the week.
A huge thank you to Ocean Generation and UNOPS for organising such a successful event and allowing me to be a part of it. Looking forward to working together again in the future!
